Climate Commitment is for Finnish companies aiming at carbon neutrality by 2035.
Climate Commitment is for Finnish companies aiming at carbon neutrality by 2035. Participants should provide a roadmap and five-year plan to reach this objective, compensation mechanisms are allowed for up to 20% of carbon emissions.
Climate Commitment focuses on direct and indirect emissions caused by own use of energy, transport, travel and daily commuting (in addition, purchased goods and services, if they represent major emissions).
The licence to use the Climate Commitment symbol can be granted to a company that operates in Finland and undertakes to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and sets emission reduction goals towards carbon neutrality in 2035. When applying for the Climate Commitment symbol licence, the company prepares an action plan on reducing emissions and reports on the progress of measures annually. The right to use the symbol is granted for one year at a time.
