FAI 115th Anniversary Conference
The Finland Arbitration Institute will mark its 115th anniversary with an international conference in Helsinki on 21 August 2026.
The programme includes the Helsinki Lecture by Gary Born, Chair of the International Arbitration Practice Group at WilmerHale, and three panel discussions with internationally recognised practitioners in arbitration, international law, and cross-border disputes from Europe, Asia, and North America.
The seminar will take place at Valkoinen Sali, followed by the Gala Dinner at Suomenlinna, a sea fortress that has stood through centuries of change.
The conference will bring together arbitration practitioners, in-house counsel, arbitrators, academics, and invited guests for a day of discussion, reflection, and exchange on international commercial arbitration in uncertain times.

Registration
The Conference Pass includes both the seminar at Valkoinen Sali and the Gala Dinner at Suomenlinna. A Reduced Rate Conference Pass, covering the same programme, is available to public sector, academia, and in-house counsel. The Seminar Pass covers the seminar only. The Remote Pass is available to participants outside Europe and includes live remote access to the seminar and on-demand viewing for seven days.

Payment and cancellation terms
Payment is made by card (Mastercard or Visa) or online bank transfer at the time of registration.
Cancellations must be made in writing to events@arbitration.fi. Cancellations received by 24 July 2026 will be refunded, subject to a 15 per cent administration charge. Cancellations received after 24 July 2026 are non-refundable. Registrations may be transferred to another person from the same organisation by notifying the Finland Arbitration Institute in advance of the anniversary conference.
